LG Donovan here again with my lists for the 350 Rep list for Renegade. No I can hear you now, but Donovan didn’t you already go over your list, Donovan did you get into Mike’s stash again? Well yes and , well yes but that’s beside the point. After a couple more play test games I decided to change up my lists a bit. I was finding I dint quite have enough combat punch and since i have been playing it very aggressively, that needed to be addressed. I just kept feeling like I was just missing something, and I think my changes make the lists just “feel” better on the tabletop. So I wont go over everything again but I will touch on what has changed and how it fits into the overall scheme a bit better. So lets jump in

So the big changes here are no Quiz 4, no mutated plant 3 and now with 100% more Strix! Quiz 4 is a very good model, however I think he fits a slightly different style and just wasn’t as reliable as I needed him to be. The 3+ Strength is nice but the amount of times it failed to do anything or his attacks were blocked meant he essentially did nothing on certain turns. I really liked the bodyguard on him and if I were to take the GCS Ivy I would almost always include him, but with the new Ivy able to get to def 5 and having protective I found he just wasn’t necessary. Since I only have so many models that aren’t plants they all need to do their job every turn and have as little chance to whiff as possible. So in comes Strix. She has a great stat line, can be def 5 with adaptable, re-rolls hits, and wounds and does 2 blood a piece. Plus she is relatively independent like Goro, and can cause a lot of headaches with those two models teamed up on something. Basically i’m going for some reliability which is the number one thing I look for when I make a list I am down a plant but I found having 4 plants was sometimes unnecessary and the rest of the list (including Strix) is incredibly fast so I should be able to get to scoring quickly. Now onto probably my favorite Ivy list ive ever made.

Oh boy does this list bring the pain! Again I am dropping quiz 4 and reshuffling some points to get in Strix, an additional plant and the Boy Wonder favorite, Pavilion Crazy. Since this list doesn’t care about getting all the way across the table (looting, the trophy, asphalt jungle, etc), I can focus on bringing the hard hitters. The 2 10 pointers are there to sit on objectives while the rest of the list goes and either hunkers down and defends my objectives with excessive violence, or just straight up goes to murder town (kinda like flavor town, but less scary due to Guy Fieri not being there). I also now have additional plants so Borgon, Goro, and Strix don’t have to worry about spreading out across the table, and can support each other. Overall I think this list is just going to be awesome to play, and is the list I am the most excited to use.
So Lists are Submitted, no turning back now. I’m stoked to see how well these lists stack up to the competition and how well I can play them. In all my years of war gaming I have never been as excited for an event as I am for Renegade. Can’t wait to meet and play games with everyone. Hope to see everyone there!
